1958 - Backpacked through 9 countries in Western Europe in 6 weeks.

1974 - Camped out and back to Vancouver Island

Before retiring from the teaching profession Tom participated in and assisted with the organization of 2-week teacher exchanges in England.

Tom escorted school groups to New York City and Washington, D.C. He has visited the U.K. 7 times, including the attendance of 3 Royal Garden Parties (2 at Buckingham Palace and 1 at Holyrood, Edinburgh).

Tom has taken a Carnival Cruise to Mexico, Grand Cayman and Jamaica. He has visited St. Lucia, Disneyland, Disney World and Las Vegas.

With family living in New Zealand, Tom has visited N.Z. many times and Australia.
