As a recently retired secondary school music teacher (2000),
I look back on a career with many highlights - concerts, trips,
festivals, Broadway shows, a term as music consultant for
the London Board of Education, many years on the board of
directors for both OMEA and CMEA, conference planning, guest
conducting, adjudicating, etc. Certainly the annual music
department trip was an exciting and significant part of our
schedule.
Working with Ellison Travel and Tours is a most enjoyable
and practical extension of my teaching career in that it gives
me the opportunity to meet many wonderful people and to use
my own experience to help other teachers with their travel
plans.
My personal travel experience not only includes school
trips but also tours with various Salvation Army bands
and many personal vacations. Destinations have included:
all Canadian provinces, the USA (most states), Mexico,
the Bahamas, Aruba, Antigua, St Lucia, England, Wales,
France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Slovakia,
Czech Republic, Scotland and Netherlands.
Music group performing tours have been a significant part
of my life and have become my current focus. Feel free to
