KD RHINE RIVER CRUISE- MS Deutschland-2 nights
We sailed from Rudesheim to Koblenz (where the Rhine and the Moselle rivers meet) with an afternoon excursion up past the Loreley. Accommodation was very comfortable. 2 cabin decks. Main and upper-main being at the water level. Good facilities-pool, observation deck, restaurant, bar, lounge. Food was excellent. Breakfast buffet style wide variety of food. Lunch-set menu first day, buffet lunch 2nd day. Captains dinner was excellent-7 course dinner. Twin bedding-one converts to a sofa during the day. Very comfy duvets for bedding, also provide blankets for sitting on the deck in chilly weather.
Scenery along the Rhine was beautiful passing by villages, towns, castles, and vineyards.

PLACES VISITED

The building itself has parts dating back to the 13th century (wine cellar 1310) This houses the largest German collection of self-playing musical instruments from the 18-20th century. Dinner at the Rudesheimer Schloss for a wonderful dinner and evening entertainment-good place for groups.

The Kurhaus is where the wealthy would come to socialize and mingle with the idle rich. People still come here for the spas.
