Rocky Mountaineer Experience – Red Leaf
The service from onboard attendant: The service was wonderful. Always picking up odd things. 1 person per car and you were never waiting long for beverages/snakes etc. Very informative with pieces of history, legends and always pointing out notable items.
Meals:
Breakfast – fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee/tea and juices as well as bagels.
Lunch - Choice of salmon served with rice and bun or chicken fiesta – both served chilled.
Comfort: Very spacious – reclining chairs with good amount of legroom. Bathrooms clean and there were 2 in each car. There were 4 areas in the car to stand for observation.
Souvenirs: Great variety of items which were reasonably priced. Something for all ages – stuffed animals/ golf balls/coffee mugs.
Overall: Excellent Service and Amazing scenery
Rocky Mountaineer – Two River Junction Dinner and Musical Revue
Entertainment: Great. Lead girl amazing voice. Interesting story line, which was easy to follow. Great musical and interacts well with crowd gets everyone involved.
Food/Beverage: Large variety – buffet style. Starters – soup, salad, crackers, and cheese, pickle tray. Main course Beef, chicken, salmon, rice, potatoes and of course a variety of desserts.
Service: All servers are a part of the show in the chorus – great service.
General Comments: Would recommend to all, as there is really nothing else in Kamloops to do. It is worth the extra cost.
Rocky Mountaineer – Gold Leaf
The service from your on board attendant: In gold leaf they add 2 servers to the car. The gold leaf is something everyone should experience if feasible. I found by going down for the dining experience it broke up the time and it didn’t feel like such a long journey. The dome car for viewing was far better then the picture windows….worth every penny.
Meals: Many choices. Service was excellent, they were flexible and you could change the entrée to best suit your desires. You are always eating and drinking and well taken care of while travelling on golf leaf.
Comfort: Roomy – tons of legroom. The chairs recline-lazy boy style. You can also turn seat ahead or behind to socialise with other passengers.
