I entered the travel business in 1970 part time while working as a mining engineer in coal fields in the English Midlands. I have a great love of travel and people as well as history and music. In 1986 I started up Macpherson Coaches, as a family business and connected with Ellison Tours in 1990. Over the years I have taken groups to countless countries including a group to both Canada's west coast and Alaska. Loyal to my Scottish heritage, I've been known to dawn my kilt toward the end of a tour!
