Over thirty-five years
in teaching has rewarded me with a wealth of experience
working with young people. I enjoyed it so much, in
fact, that I ended up going back to the classroom
as a supply teacher after I retired. Now the prospect
of continuing to be a part of the educational experience,
by helping you on trips with your students, is exciting.
During my career I've
participated in many school trips. We've taken our
students to places ranging from camps in Muskoka and
the big cities in southern Ontario - Otttawa, Toronto,
Hamilton, Niagara Falls - to such large metropolitan
attractions in the U.S. as Chicago, New York City,
Boston and Washington D.C.
My own personal interest
in travel has taken me from coast to coast, from the
grandeur of the Rockies in B.C. and Alberta to the
charming beauty of Quebec and the Maritimes. In addition
to the U.S. destinations already mentioned, my family
and I have been to Florida, Atlantic City, Myrtle
Beach, Arizona, Las Vegas and Hawaii.
We've enjoyed many
trips to the Caribbean, on cruise liners and in resorts,
on twelve different islands, including Aruba, the
Bahamas and the Dominican Republic.
Europe and the Far
East have beckoned as well. And so we travelled to
England, France and Italy, and we've been to Japan
twice.
Our plans for the
future include a return visit to Japan, where our
son lives, and to Dubai, home of our youngest daughter.
Both are teachers who have caught the travel bug,
as well. We also hope to accompany our eldest daughter,
a photographer, on her photo shoots in the Caribbean
and Mexico.
I look forward to
working with you to make your travel experiences as
much fun as mine have been for me.
