my name is Anne Darling and I have been in the travel business
for several years, with the last 7 here at Ellison Travel. Over
the years I have been fortunate to travel to a lot of amazing
places - Britain and Ireland, Germany, Russia, parts of the
Caribbean and Mexico, Alaska, Florida, and the east and west
coast of Canada. My most recent adventure was an exciting trip
to Thailand and Hong Kong this past February.
Thailand
and Hong Kong are very different, but make for a great travel
combination. Thailand has culture, friendly people, beautiful
beaches and great shopping and good food. Whether you are
exploring Bangkok's Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha or taking
a cruise on the Chao Phya River or bartering for treasures
at the floating markets, relaxing on the beach at Pattaya
or Phuket, Thailand has something for everyone. What an exotic
winter holiday this would be.
Hong Kong
allows you to experience the busy bustling city one day the
rural countryside and small fishing villages the next making
this a truly diverse destination. Hong Kong night life is
not to be missed - neon signs light up the street in both
Chinese and English. Check out the great deals to be had a
the many night markets offering everything from silks to knock
off designer watches, purses, shoes and clothes. Hong Kong
is a very safe city with a great transportation system to
get yourself around this amazing country. This is a great
stopover to add to that Thailand Holiday.
Fall is
fast approaching and with that comes thoughts of warm winter
vacations. Now is the time to start making your plans - the

"We were so fortunate in Denali to actually
see McKinley, but it so often is shrouded in cloud
that you may not see it. So you can imagine our excitement
when the day of our Denali tour dawned clear and cloudless
and from a viewpoint in the park we were able to see
the mountain. Clean white snow against a blue sky
backdrop and purple hills foreground. Take a look
