North! Vancouver offers many learning opportunities for theatre
students who are interested in stage or set acting. Vancouver
is the third largest film production centre in the world;
as of 1998, about 20 series and 50 movies are filmed here
each year. Theatre, movies and art is a major part of the
city life in Vancouver. Movies such as Twilight, Night at
the Museum 2 and Paycheque and TV series such as Kidzone,
X-Files, Battlestar Galactica, 24 and Harper's Island have
been filmed here, while performances such as Beauty and the
Beast, A wonderful Life and Les Miserable are also common
on-stage.
