Consumers who book with a registered Travel Agency in the province of Ontario, Canada are protected by the Ontario Compensation Fund up to $5000 per person Canadian if an Ontario agency fails to deliver services purchased due to insolvency or bankruptcy of the agency.
There are no residency requirements (i.e. you do not have to be Canadian) for the consumer. To receive this consumer protection you must book through and pay a registered travel agency in Ontario.
