FESTIVAL PHILOSOPHY
* To provide a festival that is student and director centered.
* To operate a festival that is musically and educationally oriented without competition or grading.
* To provide a workshop type environment so that students can learn and improve by participation and listening.
* To provide excellent performance examples which groups can strive to emulate.
* To develop a positive atmosphere in which students and directors can learn by listening, sharing, and working together.

The Canadian Airlines Rocky Mountain International Music Festival is held every year at the Banff Centre.

The format of the festival is unlike most others. More than half of the festival involves clinics and workshops and each year they offer great guest artists and performing groups!

You do not just come and perform at the festival, you are an integral part of it.

The rocky Mountain Festival offers performance, clinic and workshop opportunities for Concert Bands, Concert/Chamber Choirs, Jazz Bands and Jazz Choirs.
