The Oregon Shakespeare Festival is a wonderful opportunity for students and teachers alike to learn more about Shakespeare, his plays and how to include this historical educational component into any theatre style curriculum. Whether you take advantage of this festival in the fall for teambuilding as a way to strengthen your curriculum, or as a 'Cast Party' in the spring, you will find Ashland to be the perfect place to bring your students together to build on individuals' talents and strengthen your class as a whole.


Drama Program Includes:
workshops with theatre professional - 2hr 'On Your Feet' workshops or "1Hour Exploring Design"
workshops (behind the scenes creativity)
1 hour discussions with theatre professionals discussing the performance of your choice
University workshops
guided Backstage Tours
workshops specific for teachers who incorporate Shakespeare in their curriculum
prologues (pre-show discussions)
post-show discussions with the actors and production staff
matinee and evening performances; 2010 season may include Hamlet, Pride & Prejudice, Twelfth Night, Henry IV part Once, The Merchant of Venice, Cat on a Hot Tim Roof and much more
